MBC Weekend Special Drama Feature “Kim Su-ro, The Iron King”

Ah-hyo is overcome with jealousy over Hwang Ok’s close relationship with Su-ro!
- Hwang Ok (actress Seo Ji-hye) nurses Su-ro back to life. “I will take care of Su-ro from now on,” said Hwang Ok.
- Ah-hyo (actress Kang Byeol) was looking everywhere for Su-ro. “Su-ro, I want to know whether you like Hwang Ok,” insisted Ah-hyo.
In the MBC Weekend Special Drama Feature “Kim Su-ro, The Iron King” [Screenwriter: Jang Seon-ah, Kim Mi-suk, Director Jang Soo-bong] a love triangle forms between the characters played by Ji Sung, Seo Ji-hye and Kang Byeol.
In “Kim Su-ro, The Iron King,” the romantic relationships that Su-ro (actor Ji Sung) has with Hwang Ok (actress Seo Ji-hye) and Ah-hyo (actress Kang Byeol) are depicted as much as the tribulations that Su-ro endures in his life.
Su-ro’s budding relationship with Ah-hyo is creating a buzz among viewers who think they make a better onscreen couple than if Su-ro were to date Hwang Ok. The focus on Su-ro’s newfound romance will take the show in a new direction.
Su-ro falls into a trap devised by Tal-hae (actor Lee Pil-mo) and is sold as a slave, whereupon he finds himself at the brink of death. After tenderly nursing Su-ro back to health, Hwang Ok says, “I will take care of Su-ro from now on.” Desperately searching for Su-ro, Ah-hyo finally reaches Neukdo Island but witnesses Su-ro and Hwang Ok together, which puts her in a jealous rage. Ah-hyo tries to win Su-ro’s affection by pouting and acting cute. Their love triangle will be interesting to watch on “Kim Su-ro, The Iron King.”
The producer of “Kim Su-ro, The Iron King” says, “Hwang Ok and Su-ro have a special relationship where they know what one another is thinking by just looking into each other’s eyes. Ah-hyo and Hwang Ok will vie for Su-ro’s affection, so this will provide viewers with the romantic element that was missing in the story plot so far. In the following episodes, Su-ro will steadily show his strengths as a leader and future king while the romantic relationships in his life will continue to play a meaningful part in his life.”
Actor Ji Sung who plays Su-ro also adds that, “When I read the script, I realized that Su-ro has feelings for both Ah-hyo and Hwang Ok. We had a great time shooting the scenes where it was just the three of us together. I hope it’ll be fun to watch for viewers.”
