In season 2 of 〈Partners for Justice〉, the maverick medical examiner and novice prosecutor come together once more to work as a team. The time is set to a year later after the events of season one and it is Eun Sol’s second year as a prosecutor, which makes her a “1st Grade Prosecutor” among her peers. Eun Sol has gained experience in uncovering the truth and she has a partnership with Baek Beom, a maverick medical examiner. Together they butt heads to solve the murder of Oh Man Sang, an unsolved case from a year ago. Season Two begins a year later after the events of Season One and Eun Sol is succeeding in fulfilling her role as a prosecutor. Being prosecutor who is an independent overseer of an investigation and holds a good portion of power when it comes to aspects related to law, she believes that a certain balance needs to be maintained. This is why instead of emphasizing that she is the lead investigator to police officers to put them in a subordinate position, she strives to create an equal partnership with them and decides on whether to prosecute based on the legal facts of a case. Since she thinks she cannot make a conclusive decisions based on just written documents, she makes a point to always inspect a crime scene with her own eyes and combs the whole area thoroughly. |
