1. 85 years have passed since the Korean tiger has disappeared in the wild. A tiger that has been in solitude for three years is paired with another tiger to produce cubs. The Korean Tiger Restoration Project has begun.

2. Cranes are a 1st class internationally endangered species and a natural monument number 202. The crane's love for its offspring has never been observed in the wild. The secret life of the crane family's day is revealed for the first time.

The crane hatches and nurtures its young over spring and summer in Russia and northeast China and migrates to Korea to spend the winter. But now we can see crane families taking care of their offspring in Korea, too!

3. Lion, European brown bear' They come from different origins, but now they are all Gwacheon residents. The zookeepers try out some brilliant ideas and tactics to restore their wild instincts.

Primates used to live in the forests of Borneo and the jungles of Africa. How will their lives change when their home is now a zoo in the middle of a city rather than the forest?

A gorilla that had to amputate its foot because of cement poisoning from the floor. A chimpanzee demonstrating abnormal behavior such as pulling out its own hair. Until now, this has been the life of primates, a close relative of human beings, in the zoo.

Seoul Zoo is the only zoo in Korea that holds gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans.

Now, at their 100th anniversary, a site-wide construction has begun at the zoo to reconstruct the wilderness for the primates.

Will the primates that have spent tens of years in manmade cells be able to regain their wild instincts? This documentary is a record of the 200-day project at Seoul Zoo to renovate and expand the primate display, as well as a report on primates - an endangered species - and their life in the city.

"Tears of the Amazon" is a big budget MBC documentary that captures vivid images of the Amazon River in Brazil over the course of 300 days. The aerial camera mount, Cineflex will be used to shoot gorgeous high definition images of the vast Amazon River for the viewing pleasure of TV viewers. The documentary will present provoking questions about environmental issues that have a global impact.

Episode 1 Inheritors of the Amazon
Half of the 2 million plant and animal species in the world live in the Amazon, which is a treasure trove of wildlife diversity. There are indios who live deep in the jungles of the Amazon and do without the trappings of modern civilization while adhering to their traditional way of life. With strict paternal families, the indios of the Amazon are polygamous. But Western civilization is slowly encroaching into their lands. Bicycles, satellite dishes... What kind of changes are taking place in the Amazon jungles? The Zoe tribe retain the earliest human way of life and we bring you footage of the Waura tribe!

Episode 2 Amazon on Fire
The lands in the Amazon supply 20% of all the oxygen on earth. When the dry season begins in the Amazon, human-caused blazes will erupt in the jungle. Due to global warming, desertification is already occurring in the Amazon. The fires set by humans is destroying the Amazon jungles at a rapid pace. Mark Lynas who wrote "Six Degrees: Our Future on a Hotter Planet" warns that the massive wildfires that occurred in Australia and California will soon happen in the Amazon. He claims that if a huge wildfire burns through the Amazon, then the place will eventually turn into a desert. The destruction of the Amazon jungle will not only impact the local environment but it will also cause extensive climate change around the world. Are the modern trappings adopted by the Amazon tribes an ominous sign of what is to come or are they helpful tools?

Episode 3 Paradise Lost
Along the Xingu River in Brazil, indios live peacefully. However, the construction of a hydroelectric power plant has forced the indios to leave their homelands and embark on a path to exile. They are leaving behind their traditions and homelands. But greenhouse gases that were emitted during the construction of the power plant have also destroyed the Amazon jungle. The environmental destruction caused by humans have pushed animals and the indios' way of life to the brink of extinction. Thousands of illegal farms have sprouted around the Amazon. The Amazon jungle is destroyed to make way for bean crops that are harvested to feed livestock. And interactions between the indios tribes and the outside world have brought liquor, cigarettes, and drugs into Amazon tribes. These erstwhile Amazon warriors now populate city slums.

The lion is the king of the jungle in Africa, and among the 35 species in the cat family, only the lions live in groups that are called prides. The Marsh Pride live in Serengeti National Park's southern parts and this documentary shows how lionesses attentively look after their young and the way the pride survives in the vast plains of Africa. Viewers will be awed by panoramic scenes of the great outdoors and its beauty. The gritty life of lions surviving in the wild will be vividly portrayed in this documentary.

Footage of a newly-born cub and how it survives!
When a lioness is about to give birth, it will leave the pride and find a rocky cave to have a solitary birth. When the cub is about a month old and can walk, the lioness will rejoin the pride with her cub in tow. Thus, it is difficult to shoot footage of a newly-born cub in the wild.
As the young lionesses of the Marsh Pride raise seven 3-month-old cubs, one lioness gives birth to five cubs in a narrow space wedged between the roots of an Acacia tree instead of a cave.
The camera crew were able to shoot never-before-seen footage of young cubs and how the grow with their mother before and after they join the pride.

Survive the dry season in order to live!
During the dry season in the Serengeti Plains that begins in mid-May, the wildebeest and zebras that the lions hunt will migrate long distances. Lions live in certain ranges and they remain in their lands even when these animals migrate. The number of prety will decrease while temperatures will rise as high as 50 degrees Celsius during the day. The dry season is the most trying situation for the lions. We bring you their fight for survival under these circumstances!

A risky chase in the Big Marsh!
The Big Marsh is like an oasis for the Marsh Pride during the dry season. The Big Marsh does not dry up during the dry season and attracts elephants, buffalo, giraffes, redbugs, warthogs, and other herbivores. Episode 1 On Poong-ja's 35th wedding anniversary, she brings out letters written with the resolutions of her children, promising to fulfill them within a year. She brims with high expectations that they'll deliver on their promises. Min-soo, the eldest daughter, goes to see Ki-wook, her boyfriend of 7 years, and expects him to propose marriage to her. However, Ki-wook was already approached by Mrs. Oh, the matchmaker, with an attractive proposition so now he has other plans...
Meanwhile, Yoo-jin just got discharged from the army where he was a medic and tells his cousin Ye-joo about his career goals.

Episode 2 Poong-ja proudly tells her fellow friends at aerobics class that her eldest daughter, Min-soo, will marry a government prosecutor soon. Meanwhile, Yoo-jin meets Na-ri, the daughter of a wealthy hotel developer and unbeknownst to him, the "coincidental" meeting was set up by his father, In-shik.
Meanwhile, Jin-soo, who is an intern at a test preparation firm, works hard to meet his sales target, which would let him be hired as a salaried employee. But when he overhears his boss say that he intentionally lied to the interns that they would be hired if they met their targets, he swings his fist at him and....

Episode 3 Poong-ja forces her daughter Min-soo to take her to Ki-wook. When they arrive at Ki-wook's tiny apartment, Poong-ja lectures Ki-wook and recounts the sacrifices that Min-soo made to support him as he tried to passe the bar. But Ki-wook doesn't bat an eye. Infuriated, Min-soo jumps and hits Ki-wook hard with a flying kick.
Meanwhile, Chang-soo tries to appease his wife Gyeong-soo after he lost all of their savings by speculating in the stock market. But Gyeong-soo simmers with anger at Chang-soo...

Episode 4 Man-bok and his wife Poong-ja go to a resort on their 35th wedding anniversary day. Their children enter a contest where the first prize is a special therapeutic bed, which they think their parents will love to have. While In-shik and his wife and son are having an important dinner with Na-ri and her parents, he gets into a quarrel with Man-bok's grown children because they are making a racket there.
Meanwhile, Yoo-jin tells his parents that he is not interested in getting married for the time being...

Episode 5 Min-soo and his cousin hang out with Yoo-jin and her brother at a beachfront resort. After splashing around in the water, everybody gathers around a campfire to dry themselves. Ye-joo asks Jin-soo what he does for a living, which takes him by surprised. Jin-soo, who is jobless, lies and says he's a freelancer.
Meanwhile, Yoo-jin tells his father In-shik that he finally found what he wants to do with his life. He says that he wants to become a travel writer. Stunned by his son's words, In-shik slaps Yoo-jin with all his might. He angrily berates his son for disappointing him after he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for Yoo-jin's college and medical school tuition for 6 years.

Episode 6 Gyeong-soo goes to the market with Poong-ja and she intentionally mentions that her daughter Woo-ran needs new sneakers. So Poong-ja buys a pair of sneakers for her granddaughter. While having dinner with Na-ri, Yoo-jin tells her that he's not interested in marriage and that perhaps she should date someone else.
Meanwhile, Gyeong-soo and Jin-soo are stunned to hear that Min-soo will get breast implants. But Min-soo tells her siblings the reason why she's getting breast plants by recounting what her ex-boyfriend Ki-wook told her when he dumped her...

Episode 7 Poong-ja gets into a heated argument with Min-soo over her decision to get breast implants and Min-soo runs out of the house at the end. Na-ri meets Yoo-jin's cousin Ye-joo and tells her that she really wants to marry Yoo-jin and would like her help to win him over.
Meanwhile, Gyeong-soo quarrels with her husband, Chang-soo over how much allowance he gets a month. Gyeong-soo tells him that she won't raise his allowance so Chang-soo says that he'll take on a second job picking trash and selling them to a recycler...

Episode 8 Yoo-jin goes to a Taekwondo Gym to return Min-soo's cellphone to her and somehow they have drinks together. After they both get a little drunk, Yoo-jin kisses Min-soo all of a sudden...
Meanwhile, Chang-soo hits upon the idea of working as a hired driver after work because his wife Gyeong-soo won't raise his monthly allowance. Na-ri buys expensive abalone and decides to go over Yoo-jin's home and cook it for him and his family to win him over...

Episode 9 Poong-ja goes to see Yoo-jin and pressures him to do the decent thing after he slept with her daughter. Since he doesn't remember anything that happened the night before between him and Min-soo, he is stunned by what she says. He tries to talk his way out of it but Poong-ja cuts him off and demands that he pay for Min-soo's boob job. Her surprising demand makes him sigh with relief.
Meanwhile, Chang-soo learns how to be a hired driver and start right away. But his wife Gyeong-soo believes that Chang-soo is taking Chinese language classes after work and that is the reason why he comes home late. So she packs him a dinner bag to encourage him to study hard and get a promotion at his company by learning Chinese.

Episode 10 In-shik takes his son Yoo-jin to his grandfather's grave where he has a heart-to-heart talk with him about how his own dad let him down a lot and this motivated him to become a doctor and raise his social status so that people wouldn't look down on him for being poor. He asks his son to understand why he wants Yoo-jin to do the right thing. But Yoo-jin asks his dad to respect his decision and stop pressuring him to pursue a lucrative career that doesn't hold any appeal to him...
Meanwhile, Hee-sook meets Gyeong-soo and offers to get her husband Chang-soo promoted at work if she succeeds in convincing Min-soo to marry Hee-sook's brother-in-law...

Episode 1
Sang-eun arrives at Sydney Airport and is received by her boyfriend, Alex. They share a warm embrace. Yeo-jun finds himself denying that he is gay after Gyu-han portrays him as his gay lover. Jin-hee accidentally overhears a couple of nurses gossiping about Yeo-jun's sexual orientation and she tells Geum-ja, who is Yeo-jun's mother, that she heard that Yeo-jun is gay. Yeo-jun's grandmother, Ok-ran gets furious when she hears the rumor that Yeo-jun is gay and tells her son, Taek-soo to marry off Yeo-jun as soon as possible.
Sang-eun's dad, Gyung-tae gets angry when his daughter asks him to approve of her marriage to Alex. But Sang-eun keeps pushing her dad to relent and let her marry the American lawyer. When Sang-eun tells her dad that she'll stay with Alex at his hotel room for the night, Gyung-tae gets worried sick. Gyung-tae tells his father-in-law, Seok-joo and Hyo-eun, his second daughter, that they must find a way to stop Sang-eun from marrying Alex.

Episode 2
When Yeo-jun's dad, Taek-soo asks him to get married soon, he says that he's not ready for marriage. Taek-soo raises his voice at his son for showing no interest in marriage. Yeo-jun's grandmother, Ok-ran also urges Yeo-jun to get married and Yeo-jun meekly says he will. Meanwhile, Gyung-tae tries to persuade his daughter, Sang-eun to delay her marriage to Alex and then spend a year in Korea and date some nice Korean men before deciding to marry Alex. When he tells Sang-eun that there is a Korean suitor who wishes to marry her, she is very surprised to hear that.
Jin-hee visits the rice cake shop that Geum-ja runs and starts to argue with her. Jin-hee gets mad when Geum-ja criticizes her son, Gyu-han. When Gyu-han hears that Yeo-jun is going to get married soon, he mercilessly teases him about it. Yeo-jun and Gyu-han go to the airport together to meet Sang-eun.

Episode 3
Yeo-jun and Sang-eun both get a bad impression of each other and they start bickering on their way to Yeo-jun's home. Yeo-jun's family warmly welcome Sang-eun. Ok-ran suggests that Sang-eun should marry her grandson as soon as possible after she receives a deep bow from Sang-eun. However, Sang-eun says that she's not interested in getting married yet. Due to her jet lag, Sang-eun stays awake in the middle of the night and talks to herself while looking out the window. Yeo-jun is also awake at that hour and when he sees Sang-eun, he approaches her.
When his parents urge him to take Sang-eun out on a date, Yeo-jun reluctantly agrees and goes out with her. But they split up as soon as they leave the house and spend their time with other people. Hye-rim invites herself to dinner with Yeo-jun and Gyu-han. While shopping in Insa-dong with Yoon-hee, Ok-ran sees Sang-eun and tries to follow her but loses her in the crowd.

Episode 4
The sudden appearance of Hae-sung surprises Yoon-hee and she tries hard to regain her composure. Yeo-jun and Sang-eun agree on an alibi that they'll tell his family when they return home. Ok-ran gets angry when she hears their lie about going on a date together. Sae-won sees Hae-sung drinking all by himself and he brings up the issue about Jin-ju.
Sang-eun says she can have a cup of coffee for breakfast and nothing else but Yeo-jun's family insists that she have a rice breakfast so she ends up eating a big meal in the morning. Yoon-hee lends her cell phone to Sang-eun when she goes out. Hae-sung arrives at the café at that very moment. Yeo-jun hands Sang-eun a one-way plane ticket to Sydney and asks her to leave.

Episode 5
Sang-eun agrees to return to Australia but Ok-ran suggests that Yeo-jun and Sang-eun should go on a real date. Yeo-jun hates shopping at department stores but he reluctantly goes shopping with Sang-eun. Yeo-jun is flabbergasted to see Sang-eun give hugs to strangers and they start to argue about her behavior. Yeo-jun accuses Sang-eun of being an easy girl and she in turn, slaps him.
Hae-sung asks Yoon-hee how old Jin-ju is but Yoon-hee says nothing and treats him coldly before she leaves. Hae-sung is deeply hurt by her behavior. Meanwhile, Yeo-jun's family sees Sang-eun giving hugs to strangers on the 9 o'clock news. When Yeo-jun returns home first without Sang-eun, they ask him what happened on his date. They get very surprised when Sang-eun returns home wearing colorful clothes while sporting a wacky hairdo.

Episode 6
Yeo-jun's family is surprised to hear Ok-ran tell Sang-eun that if she's going to leave the house and live in her own place then she should take Yeo-jun with her. When Sang-eun says she doesn't want to live with Yeo-jun, Ok-ran becomes upset and almost faints. When Hae-sung sees Jin-ju alone by the side of the street, he finds out that she doesn't have a father and this troubles him deeply. Hae-sung takes Jin-ju with her to the rice cake shop and asks Yoon-hee if Jin-ju is his daughter.
Ok-ran yells at Hae-sung to leave their shop but she collapses in mid-sentence. The whole family frantically takes her to the hospital. After Gyung-tae is told about Ok-ran's hospital emergency by his daughter Sang-eun, he gets worried. WhenYeo-jun sees Hae-sung at the hospital, he starts to attack him. Sang-eun decides to visit her old neighborhood when she was a little girl and goes to Youngju city in North Gyeongsang Province.

Episode 7
After going to Youngju city to pick up Sang-eun, Yeo-jun can't find her in the place where she was supposed to be waiting for him. So he returns home only to see Sang-eun getting out of Sae-won's car, which makes him angry. Gyung-tae flies to Korea to visit the ailing Ok-ran. He also meets Yeo-jun and tells him that he puts his entire trust in him and would like him to make Sang-eun happy as her future husband. Sang-eun and Yeo-jun vehemently protest any talks about their engagement. Taek-soo then apologizes to Gyung-tae to excuse his son's behavior for not wanting to get engaged to Sang-eun.
When her daughter, Jin-ju asks Yoon-hee who Hae-sung is, she tells her that he's somebody that she hates and orders her not to follow him. Gyu-han goes to the hospital when his sister Hye-rim is hospitalized there. He bumps into Yeo-jun, who is one of the doctors at the hospital. Yoon-hee asks Gyu-han to babysit Jin-ju for a while and gets into Hae-sung's car.

Episode 8
Sang-eun and Yeo-jun tell Ok-ran and the family that they will move out and live together in their own place. When Sang-eun sees that Ok-ran disapproves of such an arrangement when they're not married yet, she says that she'll rent a place and live there alone if Ok-ran doesn't like them to cohabit. Jin-hee scolds Gyu-han for missing his arranged date because he had to babysit Jin-ju. She then asks him if he likes Yoon-hee.
After returning to Australia, Gyung-tae tells his father-in-law, Seok-joo and his daughter, Hyo-eun that they're moving back to Korea. Ok-ran visits the hospital with Sang-eun and she agrees to allow Sang-eun to move out of the house. She then tells Yeo-jun to rent a nice apartment near the family home. Yeo-jun and Sang-eun look around at apartments and Jin-hee spots them walking out of a real estate agency together.

Episode 9
Yeo-jun and Sang-eun are stunned to be visited by Sang-eun's entire family all of a sudden. Both of them become seriously worried that they might be forced to get married without their own consent. When Hye-rim hears that Sang-eun will marry Yeo-jun, she goes to face Sang-eun and slaps her without any warning. Unaware of what happened between Hye-rim and Sang-eun, Yeo-jun is puzzled about Sang-eun's cold treatment towards him. Sang-eun later goes to her first class to teach English.
Gyu-han shoots a video of Yoon-hee having a wonderful time with Jin-ju. Hae-sung sees Gyu-han shooting a video and demands to know if Yoon-hee is dating Gyu-han. Seok-joo, Gyung-tae, and Taek-soo go out together and they see Gyu-han with Jin-ju. Sang-eun is dumbfounded when Yeo-jun asks her to pretend that they're a loving couple.

Episode 10
Yeo-jun and Sang-eun sit down and write a contract that sets the terms of their relationship. After successfully negotiating their contract, they shake hands. Taek-soo and Yeo-jun let Gyung-tae live in an apartment that they own. But Geum-ja is not happy that her husband, Taek-soo offered them such a housing arrangement. Yeo-jun starts to miss Sang-eun when he sees her empty room in their family home.
On their first official date, Yeo-jun and Sang-eun don't know what do to. They end up going to a boring seminar that Yeo-jun has to attend. When Jin-hee sees Gyu-han comforting her mother, Yoon-hee, she gets mad at her. Yeo-jun tells Sae-won that his parents and Sang-eun's family have arranged them to get married. Hae-sung beseeches Yoon-hee to tell Jin-ju that he's her father.

Episode 1
Mr. Gung Sang-shik’s three children are surprised to see Kyle show up at their home. Kyle already signed a room rental contract with their mother Hye-ja and starts to unpack his belongings in one of the rooms in Mr. Gung’s family home...

Episode 2
Hye-ja has a dream about entering a beauty pageant. Wearing a gorgeous dress, she poses for the judges but then a bald plastic surgeon appears out of nowhere and demands that Hye-ja pay him for the breast implants that he gave her. Then Hye-ja wakes up from her dream...

Episode 3
Byeong-hoon’s mother visits the hotel and gets angry that Sang-shik ignores her while opening the door to the other hotel guests. So she gives him a piece of her mind. Sang-shik holds his temper and professionally handles Byeong-hoon’s mother’s outburst.
Meanwhile, Kang-ji pleads with San-ho to meet her while also promising that she won’t distract him from his studies. San-ho is unable to refuse Kang-ji’s pleas...

Episode 4
Hye-ja tells Bi-chwi to check out Kyle as a potential boyfriend. Bi-chwi isn’t interested in Kyle at all but her mother Hye-ja keeps urging her to date him.
Meanwhile, Hye-ja tussles with Byeong-hoon’s mother at a department store when they both grab the same dress. They fight over who will get the dress.

Episode 5
Ruby gets emotional when she tells Byeong-hoon that her family is poor before she introduces him to her parents. Byeong-hoon sympathizes with Ruby and tells her that her family background doesn’t matter.
Meanwhile, Hye-ja rents out San-ho’s room to Young-guk to pay her debts...

Episode 6
When Bi-chwi hears that Hye-ja rented out San-ho’s room to pay off a debt, she goes straight home and has a big fight with her mom.
Meanwhile, Young-guk notices Bi-chwi at the snack shop and marvels at the coincidence of seeing her again. He gets up and approaches Bi-chwi but she doesn’t remember who he is so Young-guk changes the subject....

Episode 7
Hye-ja pays $4000 to a shaman who then holds an exorcism. Bi-chwi, Ruby, and San-ho learn about this and meet with the shaman to get the money back. Meanwhile, Kyle asks Ruby how to use the washer but she tells him that he should conserve water and electricity....

Bi-chwi introduces Kang-ji to her mother Hye-ja. When Hye-ja hears that Kang-ji is a college friend of San-ho she is not happy at all. Meanwhile, Hye-ja prepares Tae-ja’s birthday party with Myung-ja and Baek-jo.

Episode 9
Byeong-hoon visits Ruby’s home in a drunken state and asks Ruby to somehow persuade his mother to let them get married. When Byeong-hoon sees Young-guk, he asks him if they’ve met before.
Meanwhile, Hye-ja and Sang-shik return from a trip to Japan and they’re shocked to hear their children tell them that they can’t live with them any more.

Episode 10
Kang-ji tells San-ho that she’ll go over to his house, cook his meals and look after Tae-ja. San-ho tells her that she doesn’t have to do those things but she says that she already got permission from his sister Bi-chwi. Meanwhile, Ruby asks Kyle if he secretly likes her....

With Seung-woo, an elite attorney, as his arch-enemy, Bong-gun’s journey towards love and success is rough. To make matters more complicated, it turns out that Yeon-lee, Bong-gun’s childhood friend and the soccer team nutritionist, has a secret crush on him.

Episode 1
Bong-gun is devastated after finding out that his girlfriend is getting married and he accidentally falls into a river while heading a soccer ball that came out of nowhere. Yeon-lee rescues Bong-gun from getting drowned in the river and gives him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Opening his eyes, Bong-gun teases Yeon-lee that he stole her first kiss.
Bong-gun decides to sell chicken on a stick in the street. When city officials crack down on illegal street sellers like Bong-gun, Bong-gun runs away with his street cart in a hurry so that he won’t get caught. His street cart becomes ruined in the aftermath. Hae-bin is caught in the rain and sprains her ankle but Bong-gun gives her a ride on his street cart. Hae-bin doesn’t recognize Bong-gun although he looks familiar to her.

Episode 2
Hae-bin goes to Bong-gun’s home to meet him. Hae-bin introduces herself as a sports agent and tells Bong-gun that she’ll give him an opportunity to play in the professional soccer league. But Bong-gun gets mad when he learns that Hae-bin is friends with Seung-woo and tells her to leave.
Faced with a lot of hardships, Bong-gun decides to forgo a job interview that Yeon-lee helped him to get and goes to a tryout for a pro soccer team instead. Coach Lee isn’t impressed with Bong-gun and has him race against Byeong-ki. When Bong-gun lags behind Byeong-ki, Hae-bin pulls her hair in frustration.

Episode 3
After Bong-gun undergoes a thorough tryout session and Coach Lee doesn’t like what he sees, everyone looks on grimly. When the tryout is over, President Hong kicks a ball towards Bong-gun, who kicks the ball into the net without the ball touching the ground. Hae-bin tells Coach Lee that Bong-gun is very good at scoring when the ball is still in the air.
Hae-bin tells Bong-gun that her dream is to sign him with Manchester United one day. Then it starts to rain and Hae-bin makes sure that Bong-gun doesn’t get wet because she’s his agent. Bong-gun also shyly covers Hae-bin so that she doesn’t get wet.

Episode 4
Bong-gun finally gets a contract with a professional soccer team and sends a text message to Hae-bin that he’ll play in his first game of the season but Hae-bin doesn’t get his message right away because she’s at the swimming pool with Seung-woo.
Meanwhile, Hae-bin is kidnapped by a person who believes that she’s Seung-woo’s girlfriend. Bong-gun witnesses her being kidnapped and chases the kidnapper. He rescues Hae-bin but he dangerously falls into the river.

Episode 5
Bong-gun falls into the river along with the car. Hae-bin is hanging on the ledge and looks down below with tears in her eyes. Rescue workers arrive and take Bong-gun to the hospital but the doctors can’t resuscitate him right away.
Lying in a coma in the intensive care unit, Bong-gun is watched over by Hae-bin who is worried sick about him. When Bong-gun opens his eyes, Hae-bin tells him that she was scared that he wouldn’t wake up from his coma. However, Bong-gun can’t recognize Hae-bin at all.

Episode 6
Without knowing what is going on, Bong-gun is taken to a mental hospital with Young-dal. Unaware that Bong-gun has been taken away mistakenly, Hae-bin and Yeon-lee search for Bong-gun.
Meanwhile, Hae-bin seeks Coach Lee and explains to him that Bong-gun had a reason for being unable to report to practice. She lies and tells the coach that Bong-gun’s mom died and so Bong-gun had to attend her funeral.

Episode 7
Yeon-lee meets Seung-woo and asks him if he found any trace of Bong-gun. Seung-woo calmly tells Yeon-lee not to visit him so often and that she should patiently wait for Bong-gun to show up. Seung-woo keeps smiling as he talks to Yeon-lee but when she finally leaves, he scowls in irritation.
Bong-gun fails to escape the mental institution and is locked up in an isolation chamber. Thunder and lightning rage outside his window. When water from a flooded river slams into the hospital building, a portion of the wall is destroyed...

Episode 8
Hae-bin tells Seung-woo not to call her for the time being. Seung-woo catches up with Hae-bin, who is furious at him, and says that Bong-gun showed up alive so everything is well. But Hae-bin tells him a lawyer shouldn’t only care about the results and discount the process.
Hae-bin meets Bong-gun and says she’ll let him break the contract if he wants to be released. Bong-gun tells her that he wants to become a great soccer player for her sake and so he’d like her to continue to be his agent.

Episode 9
Hae-bin asks Bong-gun why he rescued him while risking his own life and he tells her that if he didn’t do what he did, he would have regretted it. He then tells her that the incident made him overcome his fears so she doesn’t have to feel so sorry about what happened to him.
Dong-ho buys a diamond ring that Yeon-lee playfully asked him to get for her. Yeon-lee tells Dong-ho that if he’s giving the ring to her because he likes her, she feels that the ring is too extravagant for her. Dong-ho then asks her to be his girlfriend...

Episode 10
Searching for a birthday gift for Byeol, Bong-gun and Hae-bin enter a song contest where the first prize is a laptop computer. Bong-gun and Hae-bin are determined to win the prize and go on stage.
Coach Lee announces the starters before the match begins. Bong-gun starts in Dong-ho’s place since Dong-ho is not in peak condition. Bong-gun cuts his hair short and is determined to give it his best.

The main cast members said, “Shooting the romantic scenes was as tough as the battle scenes.” Romance will be a mainstay in the storyline. In episode 4, he is sent to Busan where he is reunited with Soo-yeon. But Tae-ho (actor Yoon Kye-sang) is also in Busan and they run from him when he follows them in the streets. There will be an intense kissing scene and erotic scene between the two lovers. As the emotions between Jang-woo and Soo-yeon become more intense, Tae-ho’s jealousy also intensifies and his longing for Soo-yeon grows.

Not only will romance be a key story element in “Road No. 1” but the story of the reluctant friendship between Jang-woo and Tae-ho will also play a big part in the drama. In the battlefield, he feels inferior to Jang-woo’s skills as a soldier that is drawn from his combat experience. But as the war goes on, Jang-woo and Tae-ho develop a strong bond. They begin as rivals but later become close combat companions, showing how a friendship between men is stronger than a blood relationship. The changing emotions towards each other will be shown to viewers and the camaraderie shared in Unit 2 will be heartwarming to watch.

The battle scenes shown in episode 1 and 2 of “Road No. 1” were just a glimpse of what awaits in the following episodes. The executive producer of the show says, “The battle scenes that viewers have seen so far is just a taste of what’s coming ahead. Most of the battles will focus on how the soldiers of Unit 2 navigate the battle as they form their combat strategies. There will be a lot of drama and action.” The film-like visuals and realistic battle scenes will mesmerize viewers. From the battle in the valley in episode 3 to the fierce Battle of Dabudong, many epic battles in the Korean War will transport viewers to the battlefield. The Tochika attack, March into Pyongyang, battlefield bombings and other riveting scenes will be shown in upcoming episodes.
Heartwarming scenes and touching stories among the members of Unit 2!
The characters played by actors So Ji-seob, Kim Ha-neul, and Yoon Kye-sang are supported by actors Choi Min-soo and Sohn Chang-min in the first two episodes of “Road No. 1” but in upcoming episodes, many more characters and their stories will be introduced. The sad stories of the soldiers and how they joined the war effort will expand the plots in the storyline. Soldier Jo In-jae (actor Lee Jin-seong) has a sister who is in North Korea while Park Dal-moon (actor Min Bok-ki) was called up for duty without being able to say good-bye to his wife. Then there is Kwon Jin-cheol (actor Lee Gwan-hoon) who lost many close friends and found himself caught up in the war and fighting for one side in a divided country. Their stories will touch the hearts of viewers. There will be acts of sacrifice amidst the war and strong bonds between soldiers who will give their life for one another. The human toll and suffering will sufficiently convey the tragedies wrought by the war. Besides the soldiers of Unit 2, actors Nam Bo-ra, Kim Ji-woo, Julian Kang will have supporting roles in the drama. Oh Man-seok, Kim Yeo-jin, Hwang Bora, and Lee Cheon-hee will make cameo appearances in several episodes, too.
Stylish cinematic visuals
Critics have raved about the cinematic visuals shown in the battle scenes of “Road No. 1.” Slow-motion imagery, slow shutter speeds and multiple camera angles heighten the intensity of a battle scene by capture every exploding shrapnel and water droplet with hyperrealism. Koh Gyeong-min, the visual supervisor for “Road No. 1,” says, “Using multiple camera angles helps us capture the live action with an element of realism. Thus, we were able to achieve a film look.” Furthermore, DI color correction is used in every scene along with CG treatment to create a cinematic look. CG plays a big role in “Road No. 1” to polish battle scene and create stunning background images.

So Ji-seob and Kim Ha-neul’s kiss
- The two actors never had this many kissing scenes before in any of their previous TV dramas.
Getting into character for a kissing scene was easy but getting out was another matter...
The show teaser for “Road No. 1” showed a brief kissing scene between So Ji-seob and Kim Ha-neul, which created a buzz. Their romance blossoms in the first episode of the show but then the war breaks out, separating the two lovers.
A touching portrayal of two people who are separated against their will due to the war. Fighting back tears, Kim Ha-neul embraces So Ji-seob in one scene.
This particular scene took place on March 26^th at an outdoor set in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province. Only a few members of the production crew were present during the shoot. The female staff members wondered if So Ji-seob and Kim Ha-neul were secretly having a relationship after seeing how intense they were in the kissing scenes. The entire staff fell silent as the emotional scene was shot with only the two actors.
As the highlight of “Road No. 1” this romantic scene was beautifully portrayed by the actors and shot wonderfully. But the actual shoot was a different experience. The plume of pollen in the scene was created by blowing dust into the set, making it hard to breathe for everyone on the set including the actors. Whenever the director gave the cut signal, everybody would start sneezing. Kim Ha-neul was bitten by a mite during this shoot, which left a red welt on her skin.
In Director Lee Jang-soo’s own words, he wanted to recreate a “war drama that was like a romantic drama and a romantic drama that was like a war” and that idea is visually depicted in the kissing scene between Jang-woo (actor So Ji-seob) and Soo-yeon (actress Kim Ha-neul). To get away from Tae-ho (actor Yoon Kye-sang), Soo-yeon hides in a cotton gin factory where she has a passionate kiss with Jang-woo that shows how desperately she wants to be with him.
“It was a challenging scene to shoot because my character Soo-yeon is so much in love with Jang-woo but they both know they won’t be able to see each other for a long time,” said Kim Ha-neul. She added, “But So Ji-seob was terrific to work with and that made things easier to perform my scenes.” So Ji-seob also complimented his costar by saying, “She instantly got into character as Soo-yeon for that scene so I was able to easily slip into my character.”
Meanwhile, the mission to destroy Yeongchon Bridge ends in a failure in episode 4, forcing the villagers including Soo-yeon to flee to the south as the North Korean forces move in. Jang-woo also heads to Busan where he is reunited with Soo-yeon but they are followed by Tae-ho who is hot on their heels. So Jang-woo and Soo-yeon duck into a cotton gin factory at the last minute.
In the fierce struggle to win the war and survive, viewers can watch the dramatic reunion between Jang-woo and Soo-yeon in episode 4, which will air on July 1^st at 9:55 PM.

Set in the backdrop of the Korean War, three people find friendship and love amidst the turmoil but fate will separate them and push them into a collision course. In the MBC Special Feature “Road No. 1” (Directors: Lee Jang-soo, Kim Jin-min / Screenwriter: Han Ji-hoon / Produced by Logos Film), actor and musician Yoon Kye-sang has received critically acclaim for his acting talent. In episode 4 of “Road No. 1,” Yoon Kye-sang gives a stellar performance in one scene.

In episode 4 of “Road No. 1” the Battle of Dabudong, one of the fiercest battles in the Korean War, will be reenacted with drama and combat action. Dabudong was a strategic vantage point that North Korean forces and the South Korean fought over for about a month. The fighting continued through the night according to official accounts. The South Korean side took heavy casualties by the relentless North Korean attacks, making the area a living hell.
Tae-ho (actor Yoon Kye-sang) is eager to prove himself in battle as a lieutenant but in one scene he takes a private moment to wail over his hellish situation. In this particular scene, he even swallows muddy water.
Yoon Kye-sang is driven to the edge as the Battle of Dabudong rages on, causing enormous stress on his nerves. Overwhelmed by the cruelty and bloodshed, Tae-ho, who graduated from the army academy as a level-headed cadet, is pushed to the edges of his sanity. He is ridden with guilt that his lapse of judgment caused the war to break out while he cannot forget the soldiers he lost in his unit. The chances of dying in the battle also terrify him at the same time. Adding to his sorrow, he still loves his fiancée Soo-yeon (actress Kim Ha-neul) who betrayed his trust inadvertently. Then there is his rival Jang-woo (actor So Ji-seob) who is a better soldier than him.
Complimenting Yoon, Director Kim Jin-man says, “We shot the scenes for the Battle of Dabudong for two weeks and it was a trying experience. Kye-sang suffered a back injury so he had to go back and forth to the hospital in between shoots. But he never showed that he was under any pain. He pulled off some physical scenes with excellent performances.”
Yoon Kye-sang has surprised viewers with his much improved acting in the first two episodes of “Road No. 1” and more can be expected from him. In his own words Yoon says, “I shot the scenes with every ounce of my strength,” and it seems that his portrayal of Lieutenant Tae-ho has been superb so far.
The MBC Special Drama Feature “Road No. 1” airs on every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:55 PM.

After viewers voted for wrestling as the new challenge they wished to see on the Unlimited Challenge (Directors: Kim Tae-ho, Kim Joon-hyun, Jo Wook-hyung) in June 2008, it took a year to finally finish shooting the Wrestling Special, which took 10 weeks to prepare. It is the first time that a variety show has prepared a special segment that required 10 weeks of shooting. Therefore, the Wrestling Special in The Unlimited Challenge is a meaningful project for everybody involved in the production.

The members of The Unlimited Challenge create their own wrestling club, choosing Park Myung-soo to be the president. The “W” in WM7 stands for wrestling while the “M” stands for Myung-soo. Their commitment to preparing an excellent show in the Wrestling Special led to the creation of their own The Unlimited Challenge Wrestling Federation.
Actor Kim Min-joon, who has a black belt in judo, was a special guest in The Unlimited Challenge, where he taught the members how to fall down without getting hurt during a match. His contribution to the wrestling project was invaluable. In addition, member Roh Hong-cheol recommended Cherry Filter drummer Sohn Star as their wrestling coach due to his vast knowledge about wrestling. Although the other members initially resisted the idea of hiring Sohn Star, they relented and trained under him.
Due to the labor strike that hit the network in the spring of 2010, shooting for the Wresting Special had to be halted but the members took this time to train under personal trainers and wrestling coaches. Many of them sustained bruises and light injuries during their training but it was further proof of their eagerness to see the show go on. With an unwavering spirit, the members undertook a year of wrestling training.
Their mentor and coach Sohn Star was worried that the members would flop badly in the wrestling challenge since most of them were unfit but he was amazed at how they progressively improved their skills and even pulled off difficult maneuvers.
The Wrestling Special will air on July 3, 2010!
With the actual wrestling competition set to be held two months later, the members are continuously practicing what they’ve learned and perfecting the execution of a variety of moves... The burly Jung Joon-ha has power; Yoo Jae-seok is quick and agile; Roh Hong-cheol wins in the showmanship department. Park Myung-soo, the WM7 president, mastered all the dirty tricks, Jeong Hyung-don is surprisingly athletic for a person of his size, and Haha, who joined the show later on, will show how much he has learned in a rather short time.
One of the spectacles in wrestling that pleases the crowd is the flashy costumes worn by the wrestlers. So the members of the Unlimited Challenge designed their own costumes, which will be revealed in the show.
Once the most popular spectator sport in Korea in the 1970s and 1980s, pro wrestling will make a comeback in The Unlimited Challenge as the members revive those memories. Many older viewers will be able to recapture the excitement they felt when they were young fans of wrestling while younger viewers will be introduced to a rather obscure sporting event.
Wrestling requires great teamwork between partners! The members of the Unlimited Challenge take on the professional world of wrestling on July 3^rd at 6:30 PM.

Actress Kim Hye-soo will host “W”

Actress Kim Hye-soo who is an avid watcher of current events and news from around the world has been signed on to host “W.”
Kim Hye-soo, one of Korea’s most popular movie actresses, takes a new turn in her career by signing on to host the news documentary show, “W.” The show “W” is Korea’s first in-depth worldwide news show.
During her 25-year acting career, Kim Hye-soo also had stints as a talk show host and got involved in mainstream culture and arts. This year, Kim will take a new direction in her career by hosting a news program.
Having an actress like Kim hosting “W” might be a mild surprise to viewers but for Kim, it’s a natural evolution in her career. She actually appeared in a “W” episode that aired in November 2008 as a member of the “W” reporting crew on an assignment to Nepal. She helped distribute food to the local people and did other aid work that benefited children. She amazed the reporters by lifting a 30-kilogram rice sack and carrying it to the warehouse. When it came time to wash the children’s hair that was ridden with lice, she did it without any hesitation.
The network had been discussing ways to transform the 5-year show and came up with a pool of candidates to replace the current host. The discussions led to approaching Kim Hye-soo for the job and after meeting with her, she was enthusiastic about hosting the show. One of the persons involved in the discussions say, “She was very enthusiastic. Beyond anything we expected.” “I’m sure she’ll be the perfect host for our news show,” he added.
In interviews, Kim has revealed that she is a fan of documentaries and so it is no surprise that was willing to join the “W” show. Kim has a wide range of interests that include topics about nature, animals, the environment and much more. She mentioned watching Tears in the Arctic and Tears in the Amazon, both of which are MBC documentaries, with her nephew and how much she enjoyed them.
Kim Hye-soo says, “I like the straightforward way that ‘W’ depicts world news in the five years it’s been on the air so far. It’s a dream come true for me to be involved with a documentary program.” “I hope to live up to the expectations,” she said.
She says that she’s acquainted with young environmental activists who are a source of inspiration. Currently, she is very interested in Indian eco feminist Vandava Shiva, who is also a philosopher, environmental activist, and David Mayer de Rothschild, head of Adventure Ecology and heir to the Rothschild banking empire.
Meanwhile, Choi Yoon-young, who hosted “W” for the last five years, will appear for the last time on July 2^nd in a special anniversary feature and then hand the show over to Kim Hye-soo. On July 9^th, Tears of the Amazon: The Movie will air in place of W for one episode.
Slated to premiere on July 16^th under the new name, “W with Kim Hye-soo,” viewers can tune in at the same hour every Friday night.
