Upate 2008-02-14 17:02
"Prince of the Legend", the hottest TV drama series to air, has recorded highest series ratings of 41.01% (TNS, Seoul region) for the episode broadcast last July 11 (Tuesday). Thanks to its fast-paced story, the series has finally succeeded in overcoming the 40% mark (nationwide 37.2%, metropolitan area 38.8%).

In the case of the Seoul area, the series broke through 30% viewer ratings just after five episodes (May 29) since it first went on air on May 15 (Monday). Now having gone over the 40% mark on its 15th episode (July 11), the series is demonstrating a upward rise that is even more steep than MBC's "Jewel in the Palace" series. For reference, "Jewel in the Palace", which started broadcasting on September 15, 2003 and finishing on March 30, 2004 with its 56th episode, broke through the 30% mark on its 7th episode and reached 40% on its 15th.

On the 15th episode of "The Prince of the Legend", Jumong (Song Il-gook) goes to see Dae-soh (Kim Seung-soo) and Yeong-po (Won Ki-jun), who tried to kill Mo Pal-mo (Lee Gae-in) and warns them, "I am no longer the Jumong who used to be afraid of you. If you threaten me, you both will get hurt!" This demonstration of character different from that of the oppressed Jumong of the past has allowed the lovers of the series to feel a sense of pleasurable thrill.

From the 16th episode set for July 17 (Monday), most airtime will be filled with exciting adventures of Jumong and So Seo-no, setting out on a long journey in search of the new world Gosanguk. Also, Lady Yuhwa gives Jumong a jade ring, telling him to "give it to the woman who enters your heart" making us wonder who that woman will be.
