On the morning of May 10th in one of Incheon Airport's garages MBC's CEO Choi Moon-soon, along with the presidents of Asiana Airlines, Incheon International Airport, Korea Tourist Service Inc., Incheon Tourist Service Inc., among others, and 70 employees gathered to celebrate the inaugural departure of the 'Dae Jang-guem Flight Line'. Due to the "Korean Wave" throughout Japan, China, East Asia as well as here in Korea, MBC drama < Jewel in the Palace >(Dae Jang-geum) has proudly spread its wings into the skies.

Asiana Airlines painted the drama's main characters onto its medium sized B767 airplanes (264 seats) and named them the 'Dae Jang-geum Flight Line'. By using the Dae Jang-geum brand as an exterior advertisement they hope for "Korean Wave" to continue to soar. This is the first time that a major airline has painted its airplanes with a TV show's logo, actors, and title. The airline is expected to fly major routes into Tokyo's Narita International Airport and into the skies of China and East Asia. After the unveiling ceremony on the 10th the Dae Jang-geum line took off on its first flight for Taipei.
